In 1955 Budapest the Hungarian Regime arrested her parents, prominent journalists, and imprisoned them. After the fall of the Regime, she gained access to its security police files and opened a Pandora’s box of her parents’ interrogations, friends as informants, cameras and microphones, all committed to paper.  As a veteran journalist (including ABC News and NPR) and author of seven books, she tells the chilling tale of herself, her sister, and parents caught up in the brutalities of a police state.
